- 1 / 5By Susan MyersLast minute we decided to drive over to Oregon and stop in Messies on New Years Eve. My husband ordered the prime rib. I had a chicken sandwich which was good. BUT the steak was ROTTEN!! Once my husband cut into it I could smell it across the table. We motioned to the waitress and told her about the steak. She took it away and brought back another potato. She asked, "It was your potato that was bad, right?" "No, the steak" "Would you like to order something else?" "I'll have to think about it" By the time she came back, I had shared my meal with my husband and we told her we didn't want anything else. She put the check on the table and said, "OK" That was it. No, "I'm so sorry about your meal" No, "Let me get you a drink on the house" No, "Let us comp your meal" NOTHING....just OK and she walked away. What a great way to start the year! :(February 25, 2017
